2026 FGT Rules & Point List

Welcome to the 2026 PGA Fantasy Golf Tour season! The PGA is continuing last year’s setup for the 2026 season, effectively running two tours in one with the Signature Events. So, we will continue with the revised setup we adopted last year, with two small tweaks as outlined below.

SCHEDULE: We will start the season with The Sony from Jan 15th-18th. This is due to the Sentry being dropped from the schedule this year when the course burned up. No replacement was made by the PGA Tour so we will have one less Signature event this year. The last date we will accept teams is January 15th, to make sure we have time to ensure that they are all unique lineups. We encourage you to get your lineups turned in early! Please note that we will accept lineup changes for teams submitted early up until the start of the Sony, but NO changes will be accepted once the tournament starts. The FGT season will end with the BMW Championship on August 23rd.

PICKING YOUR TEAM: As before, each $100 entry will have 25 points to use in creating a unique team lineup, and this will be your team for the entire season, so pick wisely!  The sign-up sheet and point sheet are on the following pages. Any player not on the point sheet is a 1-pointer. You may choose anyone in the world and do not have to only pick PGA members but only their earnings in PGA Tour events count.

With the addition of the Signature Events – which feature limited fields, $20 MILLION purses and (mostly) no cuts – the value of being in the top 50 in the FedEx Cup Ranking and being automatically eligible for these events is huge. (Please see https://www.pgatour.com/signature-events for more details). To account for this “super tour within the Tour” and the reduced number of guaranteed eligible spots, the points will be distributed slightly differently than in prior years, as shown here:

Top 10 players are 6-pointers. The next 25 (#11-35) are 5-pointers and the next 25 (#36-60) are 4-pointers. Ranks #61-80 are 3-pointers, while the 2-pointers fill the space from 81-100. On the bottom end, Rookies, non-Members (including LIV players who have given up their Tour cards) and PGA Members who are not fully exempt for the 2024 season are all 1-pointers.

So basically, if a player has their full PGA Tour card locked up, they’re at least a 2-pointer. If a player joins LIV and gives up their PGA Tour card before The Sony begins, they will change to a 1-pointer and you may adjust your team to use the full 25 points. If a player leaves the PGA after The Sony starts, they will retain their original point value and no team adjustments will be allowed.

PAYMENT: We are setup to take payment via Venmo (please send your $100 entry to @Thomas-E-OToole) or we will gladly accept cash. Sign-ups will be on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you make your picks ASAP to solidify your position for your teams. There is no special treatment for veterans of the FGT. If you are late, you are out!! If there are two identical teams the first one in will keep their team intact and the 2nd one in will have to change up to 10 points worth of players.

PAYOUTS: As in the past, the team with the highest total earnings in a tournament will be the winner. We are planning that the owner of each winning team will win $150 for a regular event, $200 for the Players Championship and all Signature Events, and $300 for the Majors winners and $100 for 2nd place in the Majors. We will pay out the top 17% of the teams for the year-end totals. ***Payouts should be the same as last year but will be adjusted based off of entries received and a separate email notification will go out after all teams have been counted. ***

2026 PGA TOUR FANTASY DRAFT RULES

1. Each entry has 25 total points to be used for the draft. You may use any combination of points to select your team.

2. The team you select will be your team for the entire golf year, and is considered final once the first tournament (currently The Sony) begins . NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED.

3. Cost is $100 per entry. More than one entry per person is allowed.

4. In the event that two or more entries draft the identical team, the first entry in will keep their team and the other entries will have to change up to 10 points but must change at least one (1) player.

5.  Submit your lineup ASAP by E-mail: [email protected].

6. Please make checks payable to Thomas O’Toole. Mail your checks to 845 12th St. West, Billings, MT 59102. Or you can use Venmo: Thomas-E-OToole. Or PayPal: @ThomasEOToole or [email protected]

Weekly Payoffs Will Be Determined By The Number Of Entries Received

1. The winner each week will be decided by the total money earnings of each team for the week.

2. Only the winner will be paid each week. In the event of a tie the weekly payout will be split equally.

3. The Commissioner’s office is planning on weekly payouts of $150, $300 for the winners of the four majors and $100 for 2nd, and $200 for the Players Championship and all Signature Events. This could be subject to change depending on the number of entries.

4. All tournaments during the Fantasy Tour schedule will count for year-end money totals. However, there may be some tournaments that do not have a weekly payout. This will also be determined by the number of entries.

5. Weekly payout checks or electronic funds disbursements will be mailed or transferred as soon as possible following the conclusion of each tournament.

6. Direct all inquiries to Thomas O’Toole @ (c) 406-698-0837 or via email, [email protected]

Total Money At The End Of The Golf Season

As determined by the Commissioners and the number of entries received, the balance of the money will be paid for total money earned over the course of the tournament season. We plan on paying the top 17% of the total money earners at the end of the season.
