2026 FGT Results - Puerto Rico Open and Arnold Palmer

first two-tourney week brings some changes to the leaderboard

Two tournaments to work through this week, so we’ll start with the PG”A” event, the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Scottie continues to “suck” (relative to his recent standard, having finished only Win-T3-T4-T12-T24 over his last 5 events - jeez I wish I was that ‘bad’! 😂), which allowed some other names to jump forward. Daniel Berger threatened to fill Scottie’s shoes this week and go wire-to-wire running away from everyone, but Akshay Bhatia kept his nerve down the stretch to force a playoff, then won it on the first playoff hole to claim the red cardigan, and a $4MM paycheck.

Just seven teams spent the 5 points on Akshay this year and only 3 picked Berger so we had some different teams jumping up the board after this. Indeed, this week’s winner - Bumperhead - takes home $200 for the Siggy win and jumped all the way from 57th to 1st overall! Meanwhile the previous leader - Always 3 Putting - only had Gotterup and Scottie in the money this week and falls to 15th overall. And at the bottom of the board, last week’s winner Weezy’s Non-Profit Profiteers made just $66,000 from Taylor Moore’s winnings at the API. Lots of volatility!

All isn’t too bleak for Weezy’s Non-Profit Profiteers, however - they may have under-performed at the API, but they pulled out their second straight weekly PG”B” tour event victory at the Puerto Rico Open to add another $150 to their yearly winnings with 9 guys making the cut, including the winner Ricky Castillo.

Next up, the year’s largest pursed event (but still not a Major), The Players.
