Morikawa finally finds the winner's circle again after Scottie spots the field 10 strokes on Thursday

Fun, dramatic finish at Pebble in the rain and wind! Scottie making an early charge, Morikawa hanging around, Min Woo sprinting to the house just as the winds were really ramping up, Jacob Bridgeman exploring unknown coastal regions behind the 18th green…Sunday really had it all.

In the end, Morikawa overcame a very bad tee shot on 16 with an amazing approach into a tough back pin in that wind and then had an excellent “flopportunity” from the left rough on 17 after an even worse tee shot there (that probably should have ended up in the ocean, honestly) to save bogey. Finishing with a masterful drive and approach shot on 18 - separated by at least 30 minutes while Bridgeman was doing his thing on the beach - Collin neatly avoided his wedge from the green side rough and used putter to get up and down and avoid a playoff with Min Woo Lee, who took solo second. The win is Collin’s first in two years, and is worth $3.6MM.

Just 12 teams picked Morikawa this year, just 6 with Min Woo and nearly everyone had Scottie, so as usual it came down to the ancillary pieces. In the end, Crazy Asians added Finau and Spieth to those three and that was enough to take the win and the $200 pot for the Signature Event. The win moves them up to 3rd on the overall Leaderboard.

There was a change at the top of the board too, as Always 3 Putting made just ~$1.4MM this week - terrible for a Signature Event! - and falls to #2 overall. Meanwhile, Windowlickers II made $2.5MM and takes over the overall lead.

Next up is the Genesis, at Riviera, which is another Signature Event.
