Potgieter (finally) get his first win after a 5 hole playoff

72 holes weren’t enough to decide things, so the Rocket Classic headed to a playoff featuring Max Greyserman, Aldrich Potgieter and Chris Kirk. After they all tied the first hole, Kirk missed a heart-breaking 4 footer to lock in a T2 finish, but had to wait four more holes to see who would join him there. Eventually, Potgieter managed to get a putt to the hole after coming up short multiple times on Sunday and it fell in, giving him his first win at 20 years old. This has to feel even sweeter after losing the playoff at the Mexico Open to Brian Campbell earlier this season. For Greyserman, it’s now his 4th runner-up finish in the last 12 months. Hopefully he sees that as a positive trend and not just a frustrating plateau…

In our game, 7 teams had Potgieter but 2 Dozen Win paired him with nine other players who made the cut and won the week. The win moves them from 96th to 63rd overall.

At the top of the leaderboard Purdue Pete maintains the overall lead as we head into the John Deere Classic.
